Buyer Eligibility
The Hosted Buyer Program at ITB Americas is designed for qualified travel professionals with purchasing authority or direct influence over procurement decisions. Buyers attend ITB Americas to explore new business opportunities, discover travel products and destinations, negotiate rates and packages, and establish partnerships with exhibitors.
We welcome applications from:
Senior professionals in procurement, purchasing or sourcing departments.
Decision-makers responsible for contracting travel products and services.
C-level executives, managers and key stakeholders involved in travel planning, buying or partnerships.
Companies with significant travel procurement volume in the Americas, including travel agencies, OTAs, DMCs, and corporate travel specialists.
Qualification Criteria
ITB Americas implements a strict buyer validation process to ensure all participants are highly qualified and actively sourcing travel products and services. Our priority is to deliver serious and meaningful business meetings for both exhibitors and buyers.
Buyers are validated based on the following criteria:
Direct purchasing authority or strong influence over travel procurement decisions.
Decision-maker at a company with significant procurement volume that regularly contracts travel services within the Americas or with potential in buying in the Americas.
Actively sourcing multiple categories of travel-related products (e.g., accommodation, air travel, tour packages, MICE, etc.).
Clear business needs and upcoming procurement opportunities relevant to ITB Americas exhibitors.
Buyer must not intend to sell or promote their own products or services at the event.
Note: To ensure quality matches, the Buyers Team may request supporting documentation. All submitted information will be treated with strict confidentiality.

Travel & Accommodation
Flights:
Fully hosted buyers are eligible for reimbursement of their economy-class round-trip airfare to Guadalajara, up to the applicable regional caps (in USD).

Reimbursements will be processed approximately three weeks after the trade show via bank transfer.
Important Note: Reimbursement is provided only to approved hosted buyers who attend ALL 27 pre-scheduled meetings with exhibitors on time, and fulfill ALL Hosted Buyer Commitments as outlined here.
Accommodation:
Fully hosted and partially hosted buyers receive complimentary accommodation for up to 4 nights (9 – 13 November 2026) in a 4-star hotel near the event venue. All buyers will stay in the same official hotel to simplify logistics and facilitate shuttle services.
Cancellation and Attendance Policy
- If a buyer is unable to participate in ITB Americas 2026, they must notify the organizers by email at [email protected] no later than October 1, 2026.
- Please note that the registration fee is non-refundable under any circumstances, including cancellation or no-show.
- Buyers who cancel after booking their flights or fail to attend the show will not be eligible for any travel reimbursement (Travel insurance purchase is recommended).
- These policies are in place to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of the Hosted Buyer Program for all participants.

The ITB Americas Hosted Buyer Program connects leading global exhibitors with top-tier decision-makers from the leisure, MICE, and corporate sectors. Each buyer is carefully selected to ensure quality, relevance, and proven purchasing power, gaining access to pre-scheduled meetings, exclusive networking opportunities, and tailored business experiences.
The program is open to qualified travel professionals with purchasing authority or strong influence over procurement decisions.
Eligible applicants include senior executives, product and purchasing managers, travel and incentive managers, and other professionals responsible for sourcing travel products and services within the Americas and beyond.
Companies may include tour operators, travel agencies, OTAs, wholesalers, DMCs, MICE and incentive specialists, corporate travel managers, luxury consultants, and other specialized travel organizations.
Important note: Sales Managers, Marketing Managers, or any professionals attending to sell or promote their own products or services will not be accepted into the Hosted Buyer Program.
All applicants go through a strict validation process based on:
- Proven purchasing authority or strong decision-making influence
- Active sourcing of multiple travel product categories

Fully Hosted Buyers receive:

Reimbursements are processed approximately three weeks after the event via bank transfer and are only granted to buyers who meet all required commitments.
Fully Hosted Buyers must complete at least 27 pre-scheduled meetings.
Partially Hosted Buyers must complete at least 15 pre-scheduled meetings.
Fully and Partially Hosted Buyers must:
- Attend all official show days and hours
- Participate in the Hosted Buyer networking activities
Trade Buyers must complete at least 6 pre-scheduled meetings.
These commitments ensure a productive and valuable experience for all participants.

All hosted buyers will be accommodated at the same official hotel to facilitate logistics and shuttle services.
For accommodation and transportation planning purposes, hosted buyers must provide their arrival and departure schedules, including flight details, within the deadlines communicated by the ITB Americas Hosted Buyer Team.
Official transfers are available exclusively for Fully Hosted and Partially Hosted Buyers, and will operate on designated dates and time windows. Transfer schedules will be communicated at least two weeks before the Show.

No. Hosted Buyer places are personal and non-transferable. Each applicant must submit their own individual application and be approved by the ITB Americas Hosted Buyer Team.
The ITB Americas team can provide an official invitation letter upon request to support your visa application process.
Of course, professionals who are not accepted as hosted buyers can still apply as trade buyers. If they are not accepted as trade buyers either, they may register and attend as trade visitors to participate in the event and take advantage of networking opportunities.
