Why ITB Americas

ITB Americas is the first and only travel trade show for North, Central and South America as well as the Caribbean.

The Americas represent one of the largest and fastest-growing tourism markets in the world, serving as a powerhouse in global travel. With immense economic potential in the tourism sector, the region is an ideal location for hosting a premier travel trade show like ITB Americas.

ITB Americas brings the event close to the market, reducing barriers and thriving participation. Hosting the event closer to participants in the Americas also reduces the need for long-haul travel, aligning with sustainability goals and reducing the carbon footprint of attendees.

Addressing a demand in the global tourism industry, ITB Americas aims to establish a comprehensive trade show of the Americas that represents the rich diversity of North, Central, and South America, as well as the Caribbean. Unlike existing trade shows, this event will provide a unified platform to showcase the unique cultures, destinations, and opportunities across the entire Americas, fostering greater connectivity and collaboration within the region and beyond.

In 2025 Latin America has experienced nearly a 10% increase in international travel compared to 2024.

North America remains a key driver, with the U.S. leading as the largest outbound market, accounting for 120 million international trips in 2024.

Mexico has seen an impressive 16% growth since 2024 in outbound travel.

What to expect

ITB Americas is designed to meet the growing demand for a unified tourism platform in the region and will be tailored to meet the specific needs of the Americas. We are expecting 80% of exhibitors will come from the Americas, ensuring strong local relevance, while 20% will represent the rest of the world for global market potential.

As such, the event will:

  • Bring together global leaders, innovators, and professionals to shape the future of travel.
  • Offer unparalleled networking and business opportunities and inspiring knowledge exchange.
  • Cover every major segment of the travel industry – from Adventure & Responsible Tourism, Cultural Travel, LGBTQ+, in-Destination Services and Tour Operators, from transportation to accommodation, Business Travel, MICE and Travel Technology.
  • Connect top-tier international buyers with exhibitors with an exclusive Hosted Buyer program creating superior business opportunities.
  • Feature thought leaders and industry visionaries discussing the most pressing trends in the industry at a high-level conference program.

Known as the cultural heart of Mexico, the city blends heritage and modernity, offering an authentic experience where history, art, and contemporary life coexist in perfect harmony.

Often referred to as the birthplace of mariachi and tequila, the city proudly showcases Mexico’s most iconic cultural expressions while standing out as one of Latin America’s main business and technology hubs. Home to a dynamic entrepreneurial community and the “Mexican Silicon Valley,” Guadalajara has become a leading destination for international events, conventions, and exhibitions.

FAQ's

Here are the answers to your questions:

ITB Americas is the event that will connect with the entire travel and tourism ecosystem across North, Central, South America, and the Caribbean in one place. Here is where the most important key players, newcomers, and innovative companies in the travel industry come together for the first time in the Americas.

As the leading trade show in tourism, ITB ensures trusted quality, global reach and high standards. ITB Americas objective is not only to continue with this legacy but also set the pillars for the future of tourism driving innovation, fostering connections, and shaping tomorrow’s travel landscape in the region.

ITB Americas:

When: 10–12 November 2026

Where: Expo Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico

For the first time in the Americas, the most influential leaders, emerging players, and trailblazing innovators in the travel industry will come together under one roof. The event welcomes a dynamic mix of international exhibitors, tourism boards, airlines, hotels, tour operators, travel tech companies, media representatives, and qualified trade visitors from across the region and around the world.

Since ITB Americas is an international event, the official language is English. However, given that it takes place in Latin America, Spanish will also play a prominent role. Additionally, we expect a significant presence of Portuguese.
